Synthetic turf makes a great surface for lawn bowling! No need for pesticides, herbicides, constant watering or mowing.
Lawn bowling is a game between two individuals or between two teams.
The object of the game is to roll bowls (ball-like objects) on the green toward a small white ball called a "jack" located at the other end of the green, about 100 feet away. The person who has rolled their bowl closest to the jack scores a point. The challenge is that a bowl is not a sphere but rather an object with a center of gravity located off of center causing the bowl to roll in an arc across the green. One can cause the bowl to arc either from left to right or right to left by turning the bowl over before rolling it out on the green .
A great game for all ages. Can be played outdoors or indoors, and provides the facility manager or program director a low impact, challenging game for all.
